Enfamil Fer-In-Sol infant iron supplement drops are designed to help meet the nutritional needs of growing infants and toddler. It has iron which is clinically shown to support brain development and motor skills. Iron is essential to support cognitive growth and development and Enfamil's iron supplement has 136% of the daily value of iron for infant 0-12 months and 214% of the daily value of iron for toddlers 1 through 3 years of age. Your baby’s iron levels that are stored from birth will be lower around 4 months of age, so as your little one’s growth increases, so will their need for iron. Although improved nutrition has reduced the incidence of iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia, some babies and toddlers continue to need additional iron. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), At four months of age infants who are partially or completely breastfeeding should be supplemented with 1 mg/kg per day of oral iron, but if there were pregnancy or birth complications such as diabetes, low birth weight, or prematurity, or if your baby was small for gestational age and is taking breast milk, iron supplementation may start in the first month after birth. Fer-In-Sol is naturally flavored and does not have ingredients derived from the most common food allergies. Enfamil vitamins are the #1 infant vitamin brand and the #1 recommended infant vitamin brand by pediatricians. The standard serving for Enfamil Fer-In-Sol is 1 milliliter (mL) per day. *This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
