Payment Authorizations

Payment Authorizations

At Suppcity.com.au, when you place an order, we immediately request an authorisation from your bank or card issuer to reserve the necessary funds. This ensures your payment method is valid before the order is processed or until the authorisation expires.

Many banks label these authorisations as “pending” or “processing” charges. After you place your order, Suppcity contacts your bank to verify the availability of funds and validate your payment details.

How Payment Authorisations Work

  • Authorisation Hold: Most banks hold the reserved funds for up to 7 business days.
  • Prepaid Cards: If using a prepaid card, authorisations may be held for longer. We recommend checking directly with your card issuer for details.
  • Initial Small Authorisation: On your first order, you may notice a small $1.00 authorisation. This is to verify your card's validity and will automatically expire within 10 business days.
  • Failed Attempts: It’s not uncommon for card authorisation attempts to fail once or twice before finally succeeding, depending on your bank’s policies.

Important Notes

  • The $1.00 temporary authorisation is not a charge and will not result in any deduction from your account.
  • If there is any difficulty with authorising your payment, we will notify you by email and guide you on how to update your payment method if necessary.
  • Suppcity.com.au charges your card only when the order is successfully processed, not at the point of placing the order.

Need Help with Pending Authorisations?

If you notice a pending charge or are unsure about an authorisation hold, it’s best to contact your bank for accurate information specific to your account.
