Our chaga mushroom is sustainably wild harvested from birch trees in the pristine forests of Maine USA and Atlantic Canada. Our whole chaga mushrooms include the important black outer crust, which cultivated chaga does not grow. We double extract the mushroom with an alcohol extraction of 30-40% alcohol to extract the non-water soluble nutrients and a hot water extraction to extract the soluble nutrients. herb/solvent menstruum ratio 1:4
